Q: How Is Restylane® injected?

A: Dr.Kopelman preps the skin with alcohol.Then he applies a topical lidocaine cream to numb the skin.Using fine micro-cannulas Restylane® is injected directly into the superficial layers of the skin. Restylane® has an immediate effect. The skin and wrinkles will appear smoother and facial lines will be diminished. The additional facial volume will give you a healthy, youthful glow.

Q: What Is the difference between Restylane® and Restylane Lyft®?

A: Both Restylane® and Restlane Lyft® are made of biodegradable hyaluronic acid gels and are both well tolerated in the body. Restylane® is less dense and has a lower viscosity(thinner) compared to Restylane Lyft®. “Lyft” like Juvederm Voluma® is used to add greater fullness to areas of the face that have lost more severe degrees of volume. Often Restylane Lyft® injections are used as a deeper “foundation” filler, and combined with less dense more superficial fillers like Restylane® or Juvederm®.

A: The results of a Restylane® treatment are visible immediately after the procedure

Q: Are Restylane® injections painful?

A: Dr. Kopelman applies a numbing agent to the skin which will diminish any initial discomfort. In addition, Restylane® contains lidocaine which will further diminish discomfort.

How long does Restylane® last?

A: Restylane® injections for fine lines and wrinkles generally last up to 12 months. You can expect Restylane lip injections to last approximately 6 months.

Q: How much does Restylane cost?

A: The cost of Restylane® treatments varies and it will depend on how many areas you are having treated. Only after Dr. Kopelman assesses your problem areas can he give you an accurate estimate of the cost of treatment

Q: Can Restylane® be used with Botox or Dysport?

A: Yes. The combination of a neuromodulator like Botox® or Dysport® will prolong the positive effect of injectable fillers like Restylane® or Juvederm. Botox® inhibits muscle contraction which decreases the absorption of hyaluronic acid gels.
